“Dreamscapes” are a never ending exploration into digital environments and spaces that combine visual aesthetics with architectural and interior design to create views into worlds of what could be. They are meant to be spaces that provide visual stimulation while challenging the preconceived notions of what architecture is by putting aesthetic at the forefront.

Australian electronic duo Flight Facilities was gearing up for their second album, FOREVER, releasing in November 2021, their newest album in seven years. And over the course of the year, they released new singles to tease the upcoming album. With Art Direction from Chloe Scheffe, still imagery by Rebecca Lee, and motion graphics by Logan Devlin, Favinger created the 3D animations for official audio visualizers for each single, remix, and remaining tracks off FOREVER.
In the fall of 2022, for the 1 year anniversary of the FOREVER Album, Flight Facilities released a two track EP and reached out to Peter to make the album art for this celebration

The following images are a series of collaborations with various furniture designers and artisans. Peter worked with each studio closely to accurately represent their respective furniture pieces in imaginative spaces that not only help make the work shine, but compliment the pieces as well.
Ryan Kahen is a Detroit based artist and designer. From Ryan:
An ode to Pluto, the Nonus Collection is an exploration of the unique characteristics of the former ninth planet’s journey around our sun. Drawing inspiration from the eccentric orbit path of Pluto and the asymmetric center of mass shared with its largest moon, each piece of this collection strikes a dynamic balance within their minimal geometries.
From Ryan:
The Nonus Side Table plays with the geometric nature of planetary orbit paths. At the heart of its design lies a 17-degree sliced plane intersecting an elliptical top surface, a visual representation of the unique tilt of Pluto’s elliptical orbit path relative to the plane of our solar system. Crafted from steel and finished with a blackened patina, the Nonus Side Table evokes the depths of the cosmos.
From Ryan:
The Nonus Wall Light draws on the gravitational dance shared between Pluto and its largest moon, Charon. Two circular geometries—one solid, one outlined—intersect to create an asymmetric balance of weight. A hand bent neon light casts a soft glow, mimicking Pluto’s atmospheric aura.
The Molecule Side Table by Design Duo Soft Geometry - Utharaa Zacharias + Palaash Chaudhary
From the artists:
Molecule is a series of sister sculptures, each one designed as a collection of holes held together. The resulting composition is an apparently solid thing, dotted with voids, suggestive of a box but devoid of its corners or planes. It explores both transparency and solidity, simultaneously delicate and rigid. Reminiscent of vibrant houses in South India, Molecule's colorful and whimsical architecture invites use as a table, pedestal, vase, or vessel, adding sculptural texture to any space.
“We commissioned Brooklyn-based artist Peter Britt Favinger to create a series of images that reimagine our sculptural series, Molecule, within the vibrant and expressive architecture of South India that first inspired it. Molecule’s whimsical forms find their place in Indian roomscapes brought to life by Peter.”
Stepping into the fashion world, Peter had the opportunity to work with fashion designer Roei Derhi and his digital fashion house Placebo for the launch of their first ever digital fashion collection, Meta-Genesis. It. premiered at Kornit Fashion Week LA, in November 2021.
From Placebo:
“Meta-Genesis is the first digital couture collection of Placebo digital fashion house to show in Kornit Fashion week LA.
Meta-Genesis is not a collection that tells the story of the Metaverse! It’s a collection that reflects and asks questions about the Metaverse.
The collection reflects the tension between science and religion. Telling the story about the humankind of the 21 century, changing the authority of answers from God to data.
Placebo DFH gives the viewer a glimpse into the Metaverse religion that is based on data and science. Creating prints using Kornit technology and dematerializing the fabrics and importing them into the Metaverse. Using digital nylon, canvas, twill, wool, vinyl and implementing the prints on top of the digital fabrics. Works of tailoring and draping in the digital platform results in new silhouettes that test asymmetrical shapes.
The house combines symbols and signs from religious garments and contrasts them with science prints based on DNA illustrations. The collection is genderless and sizeless- it’s for everyone!
Through the garments, the fashion house lifts relevant questions:
What is the new definition of a human touring the Metaverse? How do we utilize digital assets? And what is the place of religion in the Metaverse?”
With Placebo providing the character models and clothing, Peter created and rendered the runway environment in which the models move within.

In April 2020, international publishing company Gestalten released “Dreamscapes”.
From Gestalten - “ Dreamscapes & Artificial Architecture presents the work of leading creatives from across the globe, exploring the infinite ways to conceptualize utopian oases and dystopian nightmares. With their roots in spatial design, their ideas present a new creative current defined by the fusion of digital techniques such as computer rendering and 3D art, and an aesthetic that moves between fantasy and reality. Freed from the constraints of the physical world, these dreamscapes expand the possibilities for architecture and interior design.”
Gestalten reached out to Peter to include some of his work in this publication.
